Oct 14, 2017 LB/GS works great for all solo pve tasks, like story, open world, etc. LB does a great job in solo pve. It has utility in stealth, has the kb, as aoe cripple, and RF is devastating with the right traits. I can kill any non vet with 1 RF, and most vets with 2-3 (PoF vets). GS is nice to have for aoe. Has a block, kb, stun and a leap finisher, etc. Copy Our Top Performing Warden Builds. If I were to go Druid spec, how difficult would it be to do story quests and open world content?

For story its easy to solo stiff and open world too.
You sacrifice bit dmg but you can easily outsurvive even champs with some practice.

    Thats an example build.
Main goal is to hit many mobs at once, stun them, trap them, entangle.
You could also use axe OH for more cleave if you want.

The trick is to keep life regen constant to refill AF, when stuff gets dire use CAF and reheal. Rinse and repeat.
Good CC and good AoE dmg.

For starters, any class of any spec in suboptimal gear can do story quests and open world content.

That being said, Druid can perform remarkably well in Open World Content.
That's because it's very self sustainable
A druid can remove all condis easily, heal and stealth out of a bad situation or just use that to reopen the fight
with full health from a safer position.

The dmg is good and the survivability is excellent.

mhm, ok, sure, whatever you say, no after you, I insist, no really, please, be my guest,

you could just as easily go all traps
take celestial shadow over verdant etching
    sword/torch
    axe Dagger

For pve the cleanse is better than stealth.
And dagger OH is IMO inferior to other OH in PvE. For PvP your suggestions wouöd be true though.

Don't you think it just might be overkill to use glyphs for cleanse?

    Consider the following,
the build already has soften the fall which synergizes with Troll Unguent for condi cleanse.
Evasive Purity removes a condi on Dodge
and druidic clarity which removes every condition in game upon entering Celestial Avatar

Are there Overpowered Mirages Roaming in Pve?

If I was so concerned with condis in pve, I'd take signet of renewal which would also contribute
to faster astral force regen. Then Id still take another trap.

I understand all the reasons you've taken the glyphs
With regard to weapons, I have no disagreements.

Considering worst case scenario, you are fighting a tough veteran/elites and multiple npcs.
With your build, you are standing in the middle of a fight, using blinds and minor cleanses to stay in the fight--

With what I've suggested the ranger is putting out more aoe dmg
still has enough condi cleanse and can do a full reset of the fight if needed.

In all honesty, I don't see one style build clearly outshining the other.
I think its down to preference. And the nice thing about pve, once you're out of combat, you can just change a utility or a trait
    and see what you prefer.

mhm, ok, sure, whatever you say, no after you, I insist, no really, please, be my guest,

  • Well evasive purity could be swapped out with spirited arrival thats true.
Everything else is not mainly for the cleanse though.
I take soften the fall for more breakbar dmg and AoE. Survivl trit for CD rediction on heal and elite. TU rechrges AF very fast due to the pulsing behaviour, and its heal is fantastic although it needs some practice to use.
I take the glyph trait for the CD reduction and the heal that gives you some life back and AF. This way your stunbreak and stun recharges faster. The cleanse is just additional utility and prevents condi stacking from bosses and gives frequent blinds and lightfields.

Druidic clarity is the OS button and is mainly there as an additional stunbreak.

Its a no brainer build, its only an example i had good experience with and soloed the whole HoT story including all HP bosses.

Most stuff is up to preference.

Although Ranger is clearly my main, I never used my Ranger in fractals, as I always heard they weren't wanted.

That being said, would you run that build in fractals?

mhm, ok, sure, whatever you say, no after you, I insist, no really, please, be my guest,

  • Soulbeast is pretty good in Fractals with a very easy to master rotation. Some still consider us a meta spec.

    Star trek bridge commander iso

Base ranger is not very useful in Fractals and there seems to be a decline in Druid Healers, though.

Na for fractals id rather go full support (if we are talking high tier fractals).
With gotl and full glyphs and 2 spirits for the might stacking and buffs.

The build above is just for solo open PvE and trash clears/champ solos.

As druids you are very wanted as support just due to easy carry and buff abbilities. Otherwise if dmg oriented i would say sbeast is the better option ofc.

I even ran support sbeast for the lulz but only low fractals with guildis.

  • If you sacrifice some dmg you most definitely can. I had some nice custom staff+lb builds, good sustain, mobility, with tanky pets. It can do HOT champs pretty comfortably. I just run my fractal build now anyway so it's less swapping back and forth. :P

  • Prior to my current condi soulbeast, I was a condi druid and I soloed almost exclusively.
It was quite effective at pretty much everything.

  • edited November 16, 2018

I used to do all story, open world exploration etc. on a condi druid (standard viper/sinister druid with axe/torch and shortbow, Skirmishing and Wilderness Survival) until I swapped to soulbeast because that one offers more damage.
Druid is not fast but very safe due to its self-buffing and sustain. Make sure you pair yourself with a high dps pet that has some AoE damage, like Iboga or Jacaranda and a backup pet with strong cc for the occasional breakbar (Gazelle, Electric Wyvern, Pink Moa). Ideally, you group up mobs and then cleave them down with your torch 5 and shortbow (trait it with Skirmishing xx2). You and your pet should constantly have a lot of might, in case you struggle to build Celestial Avatar, run food that gives life steal or a healing skill that regenerates health over time or gives regeneration (many small heal ticks build up CA the fastest). And definitely run Grace of the Land (Druid xx1) for the might - might is a huge damage buff!

  • There is no elite spec which can't solo all quests, story instance and almost all of the Open World content.

Perhaps more so than many of the other looter shooters on the market, The Division 2 gives players deep and complex options to construct builds that will serve specific roles that a player is trying to achieve. As players reach the endgame, they'll find countless ways to combine different builds based on the three Specializations, skills, weapon types, or capitalizing on specific exotics.

Game Rant suggested some of the best Division 2 PvP builds already, and now it is time to look at the best PvE builds currently in the game.

1. DPS and Survivability Solo Build

Many players who may be playing The Division 2 solo will definitely want to take a look at this build from YouTuber LethalvD. The strengths of the build are on damage and survivability, which obviously benefits solo players who don't have a squad to revive them and have to take down enemies on their own.

Weapons:

Assault Rifle or LMG

  • Focus on Critical Hit and Damage to Elites mods.
  • Talents: Strained, Allegro, Protected Reload

Skills:

  • Reviver Hive
  • Fixer Drone

Specialization: Survivalist

2. Unlimited Ammo LMG Build

This build comes from YouTuber Mtashed and focuses on using an LMG and, if players can focus fire specific areas of higher-tiered enemies, it will give them the ability to fire nearly unlimited ammo out of their LMG by combining it with the Liberty exotic sidearm.

Weapons:

Classic M60 or other LMG

  • Talents: Strained, Allegro, Protected Reload

Liberty Sidearm

Pve Solo High Dmg Bear Lake

This build revolves around the Liberty exotic sidearm and its passive perk 'Independence,' which when holstered refills 20% of the current weapon's magazine when destroying weakpoints on enemies. So as long as players use their LMG and hit weakpoints on elite enemies, the magazine will continue to be refilled.

High

Equipment:

  • Airaldi Holdings gloves with Obliterate talent and Accuracy increase
  • Wyvern Wear knee pads with Braced Perk
  • Douglas & Holding holster with Critical Hit Damage and Precise talent

Skills:

  • Reviver Hive
  • Fixer Drone

Specialization: Demolitionist

  • Onslaught
  • Crisis Response
  • X-Stat Armor Kit

3. Close Quarters SMG Build

This last PvE build comes from InigoMontoyaTV, and is focused on the use of SMGs. Once again it will deal out high damage and increase the player's survivability considering that players will need to be up close and in the fray to get the most out of the dual-SMG loadout. This works well in both solo and group play.

Weapons:

Vector SMG

  • Talents: Close & Personal and Allegro

The Chatterbox Exotic SMG

Equipment

Armor talents to be looking for with this build are Clutch (gives armor and health when getting critical hits) and Safeguard (killing an enemy gives 150% bonus to repairing and healing effects for 20 seconds), which will synergize together to give strong healing and survivability. Because of the focus on SMGs in this build, getting equipment that gives a damage increase to SMGs or Critical Hit Chance is definitely a must-have.

  • Wyvern Wear knee pads with Braced Perk
  • Douglas & Holding holster with Critical Hit Damage and Precise talent

Pve Solo High Dmg Beard

Skills:

High
  • Reinforcer Chem Launcher
  • Reviver Hive

Specialization: Demolitionist

Pve Solo High Dmg Bear Game

  • Spray and Pray
  • Crisis Response

These are just some of the options that players have in The Division 2. As World Tier 5 unlocks and the game's first 8-player raid is released, there will undoubtedly be more gear earned in those activities for players to further optimize their builds.

The Division 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
